What is it that sets Shankar and Jaikishan apart from their peers? It is their sense of style whether in their music or their personal attire. Although they both come from humble family backgrounds, both Shankar and Jaikishan soon developed their dress sense and became fashion icons. Wherever they went, heads turned to see what the two legends wore. Their attire was an interesting topic of discussion and even had some of their peers adopt their style. Among them are Laxmikant of the Laxmikant Pyarelal duo and Dharmendra who emulated SJ.
Once he could afford it, Shankar bought an Impala and was soon followed by Jaikishan in the same color. They made a grand entrance to social events in their luxury wheels making them look like royalty.
