It was that fateful day at the office of director, Chandravadan Bhatt that Shankar and Jaikishan met for the first time. That meeting led to a lifelong friendship that resulted in the formation of the famous Shankar Jaikishan banner for their work at RK Films. Their music in their first movie, Barsaat, led to a monsoon of SJ music that enthralled millions of music lovers at home and abroad. SJ spent a majority of their life in each other’s company, creating memorable melodies. With the legendary duo gone, it seems like there is a drought in the music field with hardly any songs that are worth a mention or remembered.
